Diana Barrera, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker #17483

About Me

  • I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 30 years in mental health, and my work today centers on helping couples. Over the decades I’ve supported children, adults, and people navigating everything from serious, persistent conditions to the everyday stress that can strain a relationship. I’ve provided individual therapy, led groups, and now focus primarily on couples counseling at California Couples Counseling.

When depression, anxiety, stress, or conflict pile up, even strong partnerships can get stuck. In our sessions, I help you and your partner slow the pace of argument, understand the pattern you fall into, and practice new skills: listening to understand, setting respectful boundaries, making repairs, and rebuilding trust. My style is warm, steady, and practical so you always know what we’re working on.

Life’s twists, negative thinking, fear, anger, substance use, and trauma can pull anyone off course. I’m here to offer clear guidance, coping tools, and a different lens on the relationship so you don’t have to sort it out alone. Above all, I hold a hopeful view: you are worthy and capable, and with clarity and care, your relationship can move forward.
